Early Registration is November 29, 2024 to January 4, 2025.  

 

General Registration is January 5, 2025 to January 25, 2025.

  

Late Registration closes on the following dates below: (Note: Roster spots are not guaranteed for players registering during the Late Registration period. You may be placed on a WAIT LIST):

 

·        Majors (11-12) Late Registration begins January 26, 2025. After January 26, contact [email protected] for roster inquiries.  

 

·        Minors (9-10-11) Late Registration is January 26, 2025 to February 2, 2025. Late registrations may be limited to roster openings.  Contact [email protected] for roster inquiries and questions.

 

·        AAA, AA (6-9) Late Registration is January 26, 2025 to February 23, 2025. Late registrations may be limited to roster openings.  Contact [email protected] for roster inquiries and questions.

·        T-Ball (4-5) Late Registration is January 26, 2025 to March 1, 2025. Late registrations may be limited to roster openings.  Contact [email protected] for roster inquiries and questions.

 

·        Juniors (13-14) Registration is open until February 2, 2025.  It is TSLL's intent to field a Junior team to compete against the other District teams. The roster size of the team will be LIMITED and the players will be selected on a FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED basis. All subsequent players registering will be placed on a WAIT LIST. If enough players register to comprise an additional team, a second team will be added.  Registration prior to February 2^nd does not guarantee placement on a roster. Contact [email protected] with questions.

Juniors $195 Ages 13,14   ---  Player pitch (NO Showcase Required) PLEASE NOTE: Junior rosters are selected on a FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED basis.  Registration Prior to February 2^nd does not guarantee placement on a roster.

                 

·        Early Discount  ---  $10/player for registration prior to January 4, 2025.  

·        Sibling Discount  ---  $10/player for each additional family member

·        Only one discount can be used per player

 

 

All players’ LEAGUE AGE are determined as of AUGUST 31, 2025.

 

All players requesting placement in Minors or Majors are required to attend one of the two Showcase/Tryout dates

·        Saturday, January 18 or Thursday, January 23

·        Players are separated into two groups: 9-10 year olds or 11-12 year olds

·        Prior sign-up is required

·        Eleven year olds may request to be placed in Minors. However, all 11 year olds must attend a Showcase with the 11/12 year olds, regardless of their desire to be placed in Minors. 

·        Please Note – not all 11 year olds are selected for Majors. Generally, 60%-65% of the 11 year olds are placed in the Majors. Eleven year olds hoping to play in the Majors should prepare prior to the Showcase in order to have the most success.  Eleven year olds not selected for Majors will be placed in Minors.

·        Nine year olds may request to be placed in AAA and they will not be required to attend the Showcase. However, all 9 year olds requesting placement in Minors must attend a Showcase with the 9/10 year olds. 

·        Please Note – not all 9 year olds are selected for Minors. Generally, only 30%-40% of the 9 year olds are placed in the Minors. Nine year olds hoping to play in the Minors should prepare prior to the Showcase in order to have the most success. Nine year olds not selected for Minors will be placed in AAA.

·        The League will make all FINAL decisions regarding level of play for players, dependent on the players' skills and the number of available teams.

 

·        Players 8 years old and older must adhere to the League's boundaries. They must reside or attend school within the boundaries to participate in TSLL.

·        Commencing this Spring, Little League International has changed its boundary rules for 4-7 year old players. 

·        Players ages 4-7 are no longer restricted by residence or school boundaries.

·        Once you are registered, you can stay with TSLL until your player is 14 years old, as long as you maintain your TSLL status each year.  

·        If you have a 4-7 year old who registers with TSLL in the Spring, your older children will also be allowed to register with TSLL.  

 

Practices for all Divisions are generally held at the Tempe Sports Complex; however, some coaches choose to have practices at the local parks and schools.  The coach has discretion to select the specific times, days and locations of practices.

 

·        T-Ball -- The teams get together 2-3 times a week. There are usually 8 games – played on Thursdays (6pm) and Saturday mornings (9am) at the Tempe Sports Complex. Practices are generally on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays at 6pm

·        AA -- The teams get together 2-3 times a week. There are usually 10 games – played on Wednesdays (5:30pm) and Saturday mornings (8am) at the Tempe Sports Complex. Practices are generally on Mondays/Wednesdays at 5:30pm and some Saturday mornings.

·        AAA -- The teams get together 2-3 times a week. There are usually 12 games – played on Monday (5:30pm) and Saturday mornings (10am) at the Tempe Sports Complex. Practices are generally on Mondays/Wednesdays at 5:30pm and some Saturday mornings.

·        MINORS -- The teams get together 3-4 times a week. There are usually 14 games – played on Tuesday and Thursday nights (5:30pm) and Saturday nights (5:30pm or 7:30pm) at the Tempe Sports Complex. Practices are generally on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays at 5:30pm and some Saturdays in the morning.

·        MAJORS -- The teams get together 3-4 times a week. There are usually 18 games – played on Tuesday and Thursday nights (7:30pm) and Saturday nights (7:30pm) at the Tempe Sports Complex. Some games may be scheduled at Mantei Field and Stottlemyre Field. Practices are generally on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays at 7:30pm and some Saturdays in the morning.

·        JUNIORS -- The teams get together 3-4 times a week. The number of games will be dependent on the number of District teams participating. Games and practices are scheduled throughout the week when fields are available. Most games are played at Nozomi Park in Chandler. Practices are scheduled at various parks in Tempe when available.

TSLL will be offering Camps for Major and Minor players (League Ages 9-12). 

·        The Winter Camps will be January 2 and January 3 at Bloomquist.  

·        The format of the Camps will be Sand-Lot Baseball.  

·        The sessions will run from 9:00am-11:00am (Minors) and 11:00am-1:00pm (Majors). 

·        Registration is on a First-Come-First-Served basis and you must be registered for the Spring season to attend the Camps. 

·        The Registration Fee for the Camps will be $15 and the Camps are LIMITED to the first 24 players for each session.

 

 

 

TSLL will be offering a Clinic that is intended to give our Major and Minor players an opportunity to sharpen their skills and play some baseball before the upcoming showcases/tryouts.  

·        Players must be registered for the Spring season to attend. 

·        The Clinic costs $15 to register. 

·        The Clinic will be held on Saturday, January 11th, from 9:30am to 12pm at Bloomquist

·        It is open to all players ages 9-12 

·        Registration is on a First-Come-First-Served basis

·        Registration is limited to the first 24 Minor players (9-10) and 24 Major players (11-12)

 

 

 

TSLL will be offering Camps for Major and Minor players (League Ages 9-12). 

·        The Minor Camp will be Monday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 19

·        The Major Camp will be Tuesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 20

·        The sessions will run from 9:30am-11:30am.

·        The format of the Camps will be Sand-Lot Baseball. 

·        Registration is on a First-Come-First-Served basis and you must be registered for the Spring season to attend the Camps.

·        The Registration Fee for the Camps will be $15 and the Camps are LIMITED to the first 24 players for each session.

·        The intent of the Camps is to have the players involved in more baseball.  The Camps are not in place of any scheduled practices that your Spring team may have scheduled over Spring Break.

 

 

 

Tempe South uses several factors in selecting its coaches. TSLL determines the coaching staff in mid-January for Majors (11-12) and Minors (9-11),  The AAA (8-9), AA (6-7) and T-Ball (4-6) coaches are determined in February.

The Showcase is a demonstration of baseball skills for the purpose of placing your child on a team. The Showcase does not eliminate your child from the League.  On the Showcase dates, each hour players will catch fly balls, field ground balls, hit and pitch. The League's managers will evaluate the players' skills for the purpose of selecting competitively balanced teams.  Participation in the Showcase is REQUIRED for all Major and Minor players. Please sign-up for a Showcase time.

 

In February, all Junior players will get together for a series of practices. Soon after the Middle Schools select their teams (and some of those players opt to play for TSLL), the TSLL coaches will select teams that are balanced and competitive. All Junior players should wait until they are contacted by the League for dates and times of the practices.

 

Please select one Showcase slot for each player on the day and time that best works for you. There is no additional fee for the Showcase.

The Showcase will be held on Willie Bloomquist field at Tempe Sports Complex.
