Tempe South Little League
2025 All Star Tournament Teams: 8/9/10, 11, 12 & Junior Teams
Tempe South Little League invites you to consider participating in the post-season All Star Tournament. It is our hope that you have enjoyed yourself this season and will want to continue the experience at the next level.
The 2025 District 13 All Star Tournament commences pool play on or about June 23, and is tentatively scheduled to end on July 5 (all dates to be confirmed). The successful teams at the District tournaments will advance to the State All Star Tournaments, which will begin on or about July 14. State tournament locations will be in Casa Grande/Maricopa (Majors), Scottsdale/Fountain Hills (10-11), and Sierra Vista (9-10).
The Juniors division All Star selection process will be communicated through the regular season manager, Cal Alford . The tournament tentatively begins June 16 and ends on June 21. The Junior team will be announced shortly after May 19.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be an information meeting for all interested parents on Saturday, May 3 at 6:00pm at the park benches (between Fields 3 and 6) to discuss the All Star process and to answer any questions that you may have.
Commitment, Ballot, & Selection Process
The four All Star Managers will be announced by May 8. TSLL hopes to have All Star teams in four Divisions: 8/9/10, 11, 12, and Juniors. PLEASE NOTE: The actual number of teams will be dependent on the number of qualified players for each division level. In the past, League has not always been able to field 4 teams. A final determination of the number of teams will be made on May 19.
To be considered for the All Star Team, the family is required to complete and return the Commitment Form below. The Commitment Form should not be taken lightly. Please realize that the player and parents are making a contract with the League, their teammates and the other parents. In order for a player’s name to be placed on the All Star ballot, the parent(s) must complete and submit this Commitment Form to their manager by Monday, May 5.
All Star Ballots will be prepared and made available for distribution to the teams from May 10-16. Each player and manager will receive a ballot of All Star candidates who have committed to participate for the respective age divisions. Each player will vote for 7 players (not on their team) as noted below. Managers will also vote for 7 players, inclusive of their team’s players:
Players in the Major Division will vote for 7 players to be on the 12 year old team
Players in the Major Division will vote for 7 players to be on the 11 year old team
Players in the Minor Division will vote for 7 players to be on the 8/9/10 year old team
Note: Players may request to be considered for both their age division and an older age division. The League will make all final determinations if a player may play above their league age.
Note: Eleven year old's who participated in the Minor Division during the season are eligible for the 11 year old team
Each player and manager should vote for players who they feel will represent TSLL to the best of their ability. The 7 players receiving the highest vote count will be placed on the respective team. The remaining roster players will be selected at the discretion of the All Star Manager. The purpose of the selection process is to choose a well-rounded, competitive tournament team to represent TSLL at the District and State tournaments.
